As you get out of bed,
the floor beneath you creaks. The carpet is gray, matted down flat in places. You can see glitter in the fibers near the foot of the bed. Off white paint sets the pink light coming from the window into a musty lighting. The bed has a white frame, and groans if shaken too hard. Another soft giggle. The closet across from you has a mirror, but you can’t make it out well from where you stand.
